CHURCH EMPLOYMENT AND SERVICE
I have a deep and abiding testimony of the Savior's restored church and it's inspired four-fold mission (Handbook 2, 2.2) to bless and sanctify His children (3 Nephi 27: 20-22).
I am passionate about the power and potential available to ourselves and others as we faithfully support, attend, and serve in one of the church's Disciple Preparation Centers (BYU-Hawaii).
In addition to the tremendous blessing of being able to attend and teach at BYU-Hawaii I also have the unique reciprocal learning opportunity to serve the Church's Priesthood and Family Department as a member of their curriculum resource committee (Romans 2:21).
I am committed to consecrating my time and talents to support the church's ecclesiastical and temporal work, through diligently striving to magnify my callings (D&C 88:80) and consistently seeking opportunities to serve (Mosiah 2:17):
-
Teaching (D&C 88:78,118) - gospel doctrine, primary, family history, Relief Society (hand-outs),
-
Ward (2013-present) and stake (1998-2000) missionary,
-
Relief Society presidency,
-
D.C. temple ordinance worker,
-
Compassionate service leader,
-
Church employment specialist,
-
among others (D&C 58:26-28
I have also been incredibly blessed to be able to serve a full-time, Spanish speaking mission in the McAllen, Texas (formerly Corpus Christi) Mission under the inspired leadership of President J. Kent Jolley .
